Google-NYC Dreamscape Refresh

This gallery presents two options for refreshing the 12' wide x 8' high "Dreamscape" light box that Google has on display in their giant building in Chelsea (in the "Subway Lounge" on the 4th floor, as shown in the first image below). Both of these refresh options utilize a new approach to AI-augmented landscape imagery that I've recently developed. This new concept starts with an upscaled detail of one of my panoramic photos that has been transformed with one style of neural network "hallucination" and then further upscales the image before applying a second pass of artificial intelligence with a different style of hallucination. Unlike my previous "full scene" Dreamscapes, these large works are clearly hallucinatory even from a distance, yet contain intricate details that defy expectations.

After 6 months on tour in Seattle, my "Central Park Azalea Walk Dreamscape" was installed at the giant Google Building in the Chelsea District of New York City on May 4, 2017. Given the subject matter and technology employed (a modified version of Google's DeepDream), this venue certainly provides a perfect setting for this piece.
